Our story
As a medical resident trying to master echocardiography, our founder Franz was frustrated at the lack of high-quality medical education that could teach the essentials without all the fluff. Years after graduating from the Medical University of Vienna and completing his Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University as a Fulbright student, Franz decided to tackle the problem himself. As a lifelong student, he knew he needed to simplify complex concepts into bite-sized pieces that busy clinicians could quickly grasp without requiring the time to wade through clunky courses.
And so Medmastery was born.
What started as an attempt to help up-and-coming doctors learn skills quickly has evolved into one of the world’s leading
continuing medical education platforms for practicing clinicians.
We’re a multi-award-winning platform that continues to collect accolades because we do something no one else does: we teach the critical 20% of skills that help clinicians solve over 80% of their clinical problems. AGC Tenwek Hospital – Kenya
As part of this initiative, we provided free licenses to Tenwek Hospital, giving their residents, interns, and faculty members full access to Medmastery's educational platform for an entire year. These licenses were distributed to diverse medical professionals, including residents across specialties such as family medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics / gynecology, cardiothoracic surgery, interns, and several faculty members. Medmastery’s resources have been fully integrated into Tenwek Hospital’s residency programs, offering vital educational tools that have significantly enriched the training process.
Frontliners Fighting Against COVID-19
At Medmastery, we honored the dedication and resilience of healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic through our "Frontliners Fighting Against COVID-19" initiative. To further support healthcare professionals, we introduced a complimentary Medmastery Group subscription for institutions involved in treating COVID-19 patients. This initiative allowed department heads, residency directors, and attending physicians at hospitals caring for COVID-19 patients to gain access to all of our courses for themselves and their colleagues.
